What's up?
Tropigha Farms Ltd is a 400 ha farm under German management, on the conventional pineapple and papaya but also organic pineapple and organic ginger be sustainably grown for export to Germany. A total of 200 employees work in cultivation, production, packaging and the technical sectors.
Where exactly?
The farm is located in the backyard of Ghana (about 200 km north of the Capital Accra) adjacent to the village Gbefi with ca.3000 Residents. In the village there is a school, several churches, small shops for daily meals as well as the accommodation for the Volunteers. Approximately 15 minutes drive away is Kpando, the district capital with approx. 30,000 inhabitants. There are numerous shops, restaurants, Inns, a large market as well as banks and access to medical Services (including two hospitals).
